SPERS

SPERS-JC/MI is a centralised merit-based placement exercise conducted for returning Singaporeans who wish to join Year 1 of a junior college (JC) or Millennia Institute (MI) at the beginning of the next academic year.

The student is eligible to participate if they:
• Are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident returning from living and studying overseas.
• Have completed the equivalent of Secondary 4 education overseas.
• Do not have a place in a local school.
• Are 16 to 20+ years old as of 1 January of the year of admission to the junior college (JC) or Millennia Institute (MI).
• Did not sit for SPERS-JC/MI tests previously.
If your child has a JC or MI school place reserved under the Leave of Absence (LOA) scheme, you should email or call their school for re-admission. Your child should not participate in SPERS-JC/MI.

The SPERS tests are conducted in November in each year and registration opens in July of the same year.

The 2021 SPERS-JC/MI will be conducted on 11 Nov 2021. The application period is from Wednesday, 7 July 2021 to Friday, 22 October 2021.
